Greetings Fellow Miataphiles:

This coming Saturday, December 10th, 2011 is the monthly Cars and Coffee event at Wild Wings Cafe on Southside Blvd. Just like last month, we'll be meeting up in the parking lot of WalMart (northwest corner) at San Jose and 295; I'll get there at around 8:15 and we'll head over to Southside at 8:40 or so. If you'd prefer to meet us over there for the Cars and Coffee event, directions are attached.

Mini & Miata Meet

First Coast Miata Club Members,

Sue and Mark Wiencek will again host the third annual Mini & Miata Meet on November 14^th.   Lunch will be served about 12:30.  Lunch will consist of fried chicken, sub sandwiches, sides, and drinks.  Right now, the food donation will be $5 per person.  The current plan is to distribute club “tickets” like last year.. so the club will elect a "collection" member.
Please bring one dessert per car to share.   Aircraft rides are planned, offer by some members, but these will be on a time permitting basis by the individual pilots.   Please let me know how many will be attending no later than November 7^th so we can plan for the food needed.   We will be departing at 10:00 AM from the Wachovia bank in Orange Park on the corner of Hwy 17 and Wells Road.   Wachovia Bank 450 Park Ave Orange Park, FL   We'll head South to Stark via Blanding Blvd and then up Hwy 100 towards Lake City.   443 SW Airpark Glen Lake City, FL   Please RSVP to me NLT November 7th.   Regards, Jose Cordero President FCMC

Then stay late to pop the hood (or bonnet as they say in merry olde England) and check out everyone’s ride and talk shop with fellow club members.

The First Coast Miata Club has reserved 15 rooms at the Inn At Ellis Square Hotel (just one block from the waterfront) for Sept. 24 & 25 (Friday & Saturday nights).

It’s first-come, first-served – so act now to reserve your room by calling (912) 236-4440. Be sure to mention that you’re with the First Coast Miata Club and use my name (Kimmi Cordero) as the coordinator. Ask for Linda Bell if there are any issues.

There are 15 rooms blocked for these two nights.  You can reserve either night or both.

? 12-double bedrooms for $109/night + 13%tax + $1/city fee + $9/garaged park  = $133.17 total per night.

? 3-king bedrooms for $129/night + 13%tax + $1/city fee + $9/garaged park = $155.77 total per night.

Our deadline to reserve at this price is Aug. 24.  After that, you must contact Linda Bell at (912) 944-3286 or merle31410@aol.com to reserve a room, if there are availabilities.

As the date draws near (most probably in August) I will let you know more about the drive through Georgia and if we will have two different drive-ups and or drive-backs – depending on how many are doing the two nights or just the Saturday night stay.
